    Job Title: Advancement Coordinator (Part-Time)

    Part-Time: 15–25 hours/week avg (Hybrid available)

    Reports to: Executive Director

    Organizational Overview:
    H.O.M.E. DuPage is a HUD-approved Housing Counseling Agency serving DuPage County, Illinois. Our mission is to empower low- and moderate-income individuals and families to achieve and sustain affordable housing. We provide housing counseling, financial education, and resources that promote housing stability and economic self-sufficiency.

    Position Summary:
    The Advancement Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the financial sustainability and visibility of H.O.M.E. DuPage. This part-time position oversees grant development and compliance, fundraising events and campaigns, and light marketing and communications in alignment with the organization’s advancement goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit diversified fund development and a passion for supporting financial education and stability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prospect research for new funding opportunities from government agencies, private foundations, and CRA opportunities.
    • Write clear, compelling grant proposals and letters of intent tailored to funder priorities.
    • Oversee all aspects of grant compliance, including billing, data reporting, and outcomes tracking
    • Collaborate with program staff to ensure accurate and timely collection of service data and program updates
    • Maintain a grant calendar and ensure all deadlines are met in a timely manner
    • Oversee planning and execution of annual fundraising special events and sponsorships
    • Assist with external communications, social media posts related to fundraising, and community engagement
    • Work closely with the Executive Director on funding activity

    Qualifications:

    • 2–3 years of experience in diversified fund development in a nonprofit setting
    • Familiarity with government and housing-related grants strongly preferred
    • Excellent writing and communication skills
    • Organized and deadline-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Experience with donor databases, such as Bloomerang is a plus

    Schedule:

    • Flexible: 15–25 hours/week average - based on the needs of the organization

    Salary range: $23,400 to $39,000
