Position Overview
The Grants Manager will identify, engage and solicit corporations, foundations and select government grant opportunities. They will also oversee the CDBG process when applicable. Demonstrated knowledge and experience are key for this fundraising role.
Essential Job Functions
· Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources.
· Perform prospect research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for corporate and foundation grants.
· Make appointments for DoD and/or CDO with foundation officers and other prospects, arrange for onsite tours for corporate and foundation supporters.
· Utilize Marklund leadership, volunteer, and staff in identifying and developing grant projects and prospects.
· Work with program staff to prioritize programs for funding.
· Work with finance to gather information necessary to report to corporate/foundation funders on current grant programs.
· Assist with other fundraising projects on the Team as requested.
· Demonstrate the ability to execute multiple tasks and responsibilities - responding to deadlines and ability to troubleshoot when necessary.
· Understand the strategic plan and its impact on the needs for funding.
· Help maintain and strengthen corporate/foundation files and information sources. Identify, qualify and rate top corporate and foundation prospects.
· Continue to investigate current trends for grant writing opportunities. Attend webinars, funder panels and other training opportunities when appropriate.
· Comply with all grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors.
· Provide stewardship to current donors, including working with marketing when appropriate.
· Work with the Marketing Team for written institutional materials (including Annual Report, CP reporting, etc).
· Work within the changing environment to reprioritize and act on fundraising opportunities.

MINIMALLY REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Training and/or Experience: Excellent organization and inter-personal skills, one to three years of grant experience, preferred
Salary: $65,000
