DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
Full-Time Opening
Seeking a professional to join a mid-size nonprofit counseling center in Geneva, IL. The Director of Development is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all of the agency’s fundraising, including donor cultivation, fundraising efforts, public relations, marketing, capital campaigns, and grant writing. Working in collaboration with the Executive Director and Board of Directors, the Director of Development assumes a leadership role at the agency, helping to generate the revenues necessary to sustain and develop agency programs and services. Strong leadership & communication skills and demonstrated success in donor cultivation/solicitation, grant writing, special event fundraising, and marketing.

Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience in private sector fundraising techniques, particularly major gift fundraising, as well as public relations, marketing, grant writing, and special events
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Possess the skills to work with and motivate staff, board members, and volunteers
- Strong organizational skills and follow through on tasks and goals
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)
- Donor management experience preferred
- Motivated, self-directed, and enthusiastic
Educational Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
