Advancement Coordinator
Child’s Voice is hiring an Advancement Coordinator to join the fast-paced Advancement team working toward the goals of raising funds, increasing outreach, and increasing awareness for Child’s Voice programs and services. The Advancement Coordinator reports to the Director of Advancement, then to the Executive Director, and will work closely with the Leadership Team of Child’s Voice and Business Office. The Advancement Coordinator has primary responsibility for all special events, including fundraising events, third party events, and on-site events. The Advancement Coordinator is also responsible for annual mailed appeals, networking to promote Child’s Voice, and presenting about the organization to outside constituents. Individuals interested in this role must have comfort with fundraising and building relationships.
This is a full-time position based at Child’s Voice Wood Dale and will be on-site.
Essential Duties and Functions of the position include, but not exclusive to:
§ Special event project management and execution of special events (Annual Golf Outing, fall fundraiser, and third party event collaborations)
o Logistics
o Financial tracking and projections as well as reconciliation with the Business Office
o Sponsorship coordination with the Director of Advancement
o Item procurement and management
o Volunteer management
o Committee recruitment, support, encouragement, and management
o Marketing and outreach for the event promotion.
§ Annual giving and fundraising inclusive of annual mailed appeals, stewardship, support to the Parent Association, and more.
§ Community Outreach to community and civic organizations, local chambers, and other potential partners.
§ Marketing and advancement around stewardship, support, research, and marketing via social media channels and in collaboration with a marketing staff support.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
§ Knowledge of the process and techniques necessary to execute a successful fundraising event,
§ Considerable ability to communicate, both written and oral,
§ Considerable ability to pay attention to detail, multi-task, meet deadlines,
§ Considerable ability to maintain accurate, organized records and processes,
§ Ability to attend special events, inclusive of those that occur in the evening and on weekends.
Minimum education, experience, and training:
§ Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent related experience.
§ Working knowledge of applicable computer and software systems including:
o Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint),
o Social Media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
o Raiser’s Edge 7 or Raiser’s Edge NXT (Blackbaud) or comparable CRM system,
o Canva,
o WordPress,
o Greater Giving.
§ Excitement and passion for the work of nonprofit organizations.
Salary is $55,000 based on experience.
